Cookie Icing Recipe

Enough for 1 Dozen Cookies

3 cups powdered sugar

¼ tsp vanilla extract

4 Tbsp milk (add more milk as desired)

1 color packet

• Mix ingredients together until smooth
• Take ¼ cup mixed icing and place in small bowl
• Add ½ – 1 packet of color
• Blend until all the color has dissolved
• Drizzle on cookies, or use icing bottle

Frosting Recipe

Makes 1 Cup

4 Tbsp unsalted butter (room temp)

2 cups powdered sugar

2 Tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

1 part glycerin to 1 part color

• In a small bowl, beat butter, sugar, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy
• Mix 1 part color (¼ – 1 color packet) to equal part glycerin*
• Gently blend liquid color into frosting

*oil-based recipes require pre-mixing colors with glycerin

icing and frosting will last for several weeks refrigerated

Coloring produces best results with icing and glazes. Baking at high temperatures may result in some color variation. Oil-based recipes (such as frosting) require pre-mixing colors with glycerin.
