The best Atay is made using only three ingredients: Moroccan Nana mint, sugar, and the finest green tea, known as Shara. Shara means “fine hair” and refers to the shape of the delicately-rolled green tea leaves.

 

Our organic Shara has been carefully selected for its superior quality to enable you to enjoy the most authentic Atay at home. Naturally lower in caffeine than darker teas, Shara has a light and clean flavor that complements mint perfectly. 

Directions

For the Perfect pot of Atay: Place 2 tablespoons of Shara green tea, a handful of fresh mint leaves, 1or 2 tablespoons of sugar (optional) in a teapot and add freshly boiled filtered water. Steep for 3 minutes, pour into tea glasses and enjoy the authentic taste of Morocco.
