They may look like rolled oats, but wheat flakes have a specialness all their own. With twice the fiber & even more flavor, they’re the perfect alternative for breakfast, baking, & just about anything else!
Add 1 cup wheat flakes to 2 cups boiling water. Cover, reduce heat & simmer 15-20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Suggested Uses:
- Lightly sweeten with honey or maple sugar then top with toasted nuts or seeds.
- Sub for up to ½ cup flour in quickbreads & muffins.
- Replace breadcrumbs in toppings & breadings.
